About this workshop
Grounded in practical application exercises, you’ll learn how to apply AI to the L&D lifecycle to do more with the resources you have. We'll explore using AI for faster content design, approaches to streamline SME collaboration, accelerate research synthesis, and lightweight QA, while maintaining quality and consistency across programs.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Enrollment open. Target class size is 15-20 participants.

Who should attend

Learning Leaders

Senior Learning & Development Managers and Directors seeking to increase team throughput and shorten time-to-delivery with AI-supported workflows

Curriculum Owners

Learning and Curriculum Designers aiming to accelerate learning analysis, design, and creation to optimize their L&D workflow

Business Operators

Leaders overseeing an L&D function who need pragmatic, low-friction ways to boost productivity without expanding headcount

Build a durable AI adoption strategy to boost L&D productivity

What we'll explore:

Plan

Identify high-leverage AI use cases, map your current L&D design-to-delivery flow, and calculate productivity targets (throughput, time-to-first-draft).

Prompt

Build reusable prompt frameworks and SME-agent scaffolds tailored to your programs to cut handoffs and speed expert input.

Create

Produce a course outline, storyboard, content and assessment items with human-in-the-loop QA to optimize cycle time with minimized impact to quality.

Apply

Establish guardrails, roles, and a lightweight metrics plan to surface low-lift AI opportunities in existing tools and sustain productivity gains at scale.

What good will look like

1. ASSISTANCE

AI integrated into L&D workflows

AI as a co-pilot in discrete steps - intake, research, drafting, and QA. Standardize prompt patterns, guardrails, and review rituals to lift throughput with human-in-the-loop control and productivity KPIs

2. AUTOMATION

L&D intelligently automated

Move from assist to automation: orchestrate agents that triage requests, synthesize research, generate first drafts, and route QA. Connect to your authoring/LMS stack, track SLAs (cycle time, review turnaround), and free capacity to scale output.

3. FORCE MULTIPLICATION

Integrated learning ecosystem

L&D shifts to pedagogical consulting and designing prompts, agents, and guardrails to ensure learning efficacy. Functional learning uses business intelligence to deliver hyper-contextual tutoring in the flow of work.

Discussion topics

Define an AI-assisted learning innovation mindset

Adopt connection-first problem framing and rapid iteration to cut time-to-first-draft and lift L&D team throughput.

Prompt engineering & SME agents for L&D

Build reusable prompt patterns and SME-style agents to speed expert input, drafting, and reviews—without adding headcount.

AI-accelerated research, synthesis & prototyping

Use AI to synthesize sources, generate outlines and assessments, and prototype solutions in a hands-on test-and-learn lab (informed by the Learning Safari).

Plan the operationalization of AI in L&D workflows

Integrate AI with current tools, set human-in-the-loop guardrails, and establish team rituals that sustain productivity gains at scale
