Let's hang at SXSW EDU 2026 in Austin!

I'll be at SXSW EDU 2026 here in Austin on March 9-12! If you’re heading to the conference, be sure to reach out so we can connect in person.

This is my second time attending SXSW EDU, and I'm eager to attend many sessions. Definitely checking out these from Raspberry Pi and Google:

For those out of towners, I recommend venturing from the convention area. Here are a couple easy Austin activities to do:

1. Taco Joint for cheap, good breakfast tacos. It’s close to SXSW EDU, across the South Congress (Bat) Bridge. (Map)‍
2. Terry Black’s for BBQ. Not far from SXSW EDU. Easiest chance to get BBQ with a small wait. (Map)
3. Sagebrush for line dancing or just hanging out. In South Austin, its one of the last true Texas dance halls. (Map)
4. Ride in Waymos. Unlike in SF where you use the Waymo app, in Austin you hail Waymos in the Uber app. To enable Waymo in the Uber app: 
   
   • Uber app > 'Account'  > ‘Settings’ > ‘Ride Preferences’ > select ‘Autonomous vehicles’ > Toggle 'On' to increase your chances of matching with Waymo cars
