Indonesia's population was growing rapidly while non-Indonesian SE Asian apps were taking market share. While scaled app growth courses were live and localized in the country, growth was stagnant. Google global and regional leaders asked for a peer learning program to further drive consumption of store growth content.
A flipped classroom, delivered by the community
A hybrid "flipped classroom" program designed to upskill developers while fostering community. We developed a "Facilitator-in-a-Box" system (scripts, interactive activities and enablement) that let volunteer experts deliver professional-grade training to their peers at scale.
- Certification and curriculum design. Learner reports of "significant confusion" about Play policy fell from 50.3% to 7.2%, and Study Jammers reported a 97.4% average learner satisfaction rating.
- Learning product growth. Indonesia alone represented a 31% increase in global certificate growth, eclipsing all other SE Asia programs and exceeding the pace of GAPP's 'Digital Indonesia 2045' commitments.
